Ok everyone, mark down September 21st on your calendars as the most important day of this year because.......(drumroll please)........THE ORIGINAL STAR WARS TRILOGY COMES OUT ON DVD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
HUZZAH!!
My cousin told me that every time we buy a blank cd or dvd in Canada that part of the cost we pay goes to copyrights. Part of the profit from the sale of blank discs goes to the music and film industries. Take that Manny Perry!
HALLELUJAH!!!!!! America finally came to their senses and voted Jon Peter Lewis off of American Idol!! WOO-HOO!! I'm really really happy about this in case you didn't notice. The kid could not sing and it was a miracle that he got as far as he did. Is it wrong of me to want to dance around the room singing ding dong the pen salesman's dead? hee hee

We went to see "Jersey Girl" on the 9th. It was nice to see that Kevin Smith didn't totally sell out. Since the rating was PG, there were a lot of people who brought their kids to see it. I'm sure they were thinking it was a mistake the first time Ben Affleck swore. Then I'm sure they were cringing the 20th time he swore. And I'm sure they were ready to get up and leave during the masturbation conversation between Ben and Liv Tyler. Oh yes, they went into a conversation about porn and masturbating. I, meanwhile, am pissing myself laughing at not only the dialogue, but the reactions of the parents in the audience. It was awesome! These people obviously have never heard of Kevin Smith or seen one of his previous movies. Good jorb Kev! Corrupt those young sponge-like minds! He's my hero!
I went to see "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind" and am still not quite sure if I liked it or not. It was different, but kind of slow in spots. It definitely needed more Elijah Wood though. He was hardly in it. It had to be Jim Carrey's most subdued performance ever. If he was any more subdued, he'd be dead. Maybe that's why I'm not sure about it. He was a pretty dull character that I didn't really care that much about. It was kind of neat to see his memories being erased right in the middle of seeing them and the false beginning was pretty brilliant. Charlie Kaufman, the writer, is pretty messed up, and that's all I have to say about that.
