Saturday night the bank had a fundraiser for United Way. It was a short evening so Jana and I went to Habano's after. We got there around 9:00 and it was pretty full already. What's up with that anyway? Back in the day when I was 19, if you went to the bar before 11:00, you were a loser. Now you can't get in unless you're there before 9:30. Weird... Anyway, they were having a promo night for a new Labatt product so there were a lot of girls working and wearing next to nothing (gotta sell that beer by any means necessary you know). Therefore, Dave was not working. As disappointed as I was, I was determined to have a good time anyway. To my delight, he showed up anyway just to party. Yay!! Jana was adament that I talk to him, but I was hesitant. He wasn't wearing any make up (boo!), but he's still so hot! Jana took it upon herself to talk to him about my birthday. I could have died, but what am I 14? He said he didn't know if he'd be working that day yet because they didn't have their schedules, but more than likely he would be. Even if he wasn't working, he said he'd come and party with us anyway. Yay! Later on in the evening, I decided to bite the bullet and talk to the man. I asked him why he wasn't wearing any make up and he said that when he does wear it, everyone asks him all night why the hell he's wearing make up and he gets tired of it. People in the crack of Canada don't understand, whereas if he was in a bigger city, it wouldn't be a problem. No one would care because you see it all the time in a big city. I told him I understood. Then I told him that he looks totally hot in make up and should wear it anyway and he shouldn't care what other people think. He said thank you and kissed me on the cheek! My legs almost gave out, I swear! Then I mentioned that I heard he might be a stripper and told him to tell me it wasn't true. He said it wasn't true, but he had that look on his face that said yeah it was true. He said that he was trying to get out of it though because the past few shows he's had to do were for disgusting native women and he didn't want to do it anymore. He said that if you had to take off your clothes for gross people, you just don't want to do it. I said that I could understand that, but it was too bad because my birthday was coming up and it would have been a nice present. He looks at Jana and says, "This is your friend who's having the birthday?!?" He said he might have to reconsider and see what he could do. Jana gave him her number to get more details. He said, "Happy early birthday!" and kissed my cheek again. Jana said that she could tell that I was in heaven from the look on my face as he kissed my cheek again. He's such a sweetie! I was definitely born 10 years too early! Boo-urns! Then Jana took me home and I had sweet dreams all night long! Sigh... :)
