So it's finally arrived...the American Idol was announced tonight. I was pretty nervous watching it 'cuz of course they had to drag it out as much as possible, but America finally got it right. Fantasia Barrino is the 2004 American Idol. YAY! She was my second favorite behind LaToya so I'm glad she won. After hearing her live for so many weeks, I can't wait to hear how she sounds in the studio. Should be good!

Yesterday, we went to see "Van Helsing". After the disappointment of "Troy", we were hoping that this wouldn't be a bust as well. It wasn't. We were very entertained and enjoyed every minute of this movie. It's definitely worth seeing. The special effects were good, the score was good, the makeup was excellent, the costumes were fabulous and the sets were very believable. The acting was good, especially David Wenham (Farimir from LOTR) as Van Helsing's friar sidekick. The plot was interesting enough to keep you engaged and the action sequences were spectacular! If you want a fun night out at the movies, go see "Van Helsing"!
