So the Oscars were last night and Chris Rock was the host this year. He was alright I guess (I wouldn't want to be Jude Law today). His introductions of the presenters were always good for a laugh. "Million Dollar Baby" walked away with Best Picture, Best Director, Best Actress and Best Supporting Actor. Poor Martin Scorsese...shunned again. He's now tied with Alfred Hitchcock for the most nominations without a win. It was a pretty streamlined show this year. It only went over by 10-15 minutes, which is nothing compared to other years. There seemed to be a lot more colored folk there this year. They seem to be getting more and more nominations every year. It's about friggin' time!!
Anyway, onto the fashions...
Halle Berry looked amazing (as always). I don't normally like her with long hair, but she just looked radiant last night! Cate Blanchett looked fantastic and so did Salma Hayek. I didn't care for the front of Hilary Swank's gown but the back was awesome. Emmy Rossum looked fab and so did Kate Winslet. I thought that Johnny Depp and Vanessa Paridis looked very Goth, which normally would be cool, but he was nominated for Best Actor. I mean come on Johnny...lose the gold teeth. He can be so weird sometimes. It was nice to see Orlando there solo. I could have done without seeing him present with Kirsten Dunst (slut!!). She's just a raging tramp. I have about as much use for her as I do for Kate Bosworth.
All in all, an entertaining evening among Hollywood's best and brightest!
