I saw the teaser trailer for "Star Wars Episode III: The Revenge of the Sith" online the other day. I got goosebumps!!! I booked off opening day so I can be there with all the other nerds. The girls at work think I need a costume, but I said I'm not that big of a nerd....yeah right. Who am I kidding.
So we finally went to a movie on Friday night. It's been a month since we've set foot in a theatre (I was having withdrawal pains). We decided to see "The Grudge" since it's been here for a while and it will probably leave soon. It freaked the hell out of me! I watch horror movies all the time and am pretty desensitized to it all, but I actually had nightmares that night about this movie. The images are just so creepy. It's not a gory film and maybe that's why it affected me so much. I'm used to gore. Just thinking about it now gives me the willies...(shiver). I'm surprised I could concentrate on the movie at all with all the bloody noise in there. Since it's been here since Halloween, I thought it would be deserted by now. No such luck. There were a gaggle of little teenage girls beside us who wouldn't shut up and the mother that brought them to the movie was the worst one of all. Then there were a bunch of frickin' teenage indians in front of us who kept yelling at each other and then getting up and leaving and coming back and standing in front of us as we're trying to see the damn screen. Then there was the guy sitting beside my husband who was hacking up a lung and struggling to breathe when he wasn't coughing. If you're that goddamned sick, don't go out. It's that simple. I don't want your germs. All through it my husband kept saying that once we get our big screen T.V. that we're never going to the theatre again. In theory I agree with him, but there will always be movies that I want to see now and not in six months.
