So it's finally premiere week for the new T.V. season.

Last night was the season premieres of The Simpsons and Family Guy. The Simpsons opening couch gag was a brilliant nod to the movie that came out this summer. It was too funny. Family Guy's season premiere was an hour long tribute to the greatest movie ever...Star Wars. They called the episode Family Guy: Blue Harvest, after the fake name that Return of the Jedi was filmed under. It was absolutely brilliant! I was a little scared when I first heard that Family Guy was doing a Star Wars send up because, let's face it, they can be rather crude and Star Wars is a sacred subject. It ended up being all good though. They even had permission to use the original score and sound effects. Cleveland as a gangsta R2-D2 just cracked me up. The best line though was when Chris as Luke Skywalker goes into Princess Leia's cell and she says, "Aren't you a little fat for a stormtrooper?" and he says, "So rot in here you stuck up bitch." Nice. Poor Meg got stuck as the garbage compactor creature. She got a whole 3 seconds of screen time.

It totally made me want to watch Star Wars again. Love, love , love!
