We went to see Brent Butt's stand-up comedy show last night. It was awesome! He's even more hilarious than on "Corner Gas" (and that's pretty hilarious)! Even the guy who opened for him, Jamie Hutchinson, was hilarious. At the end of the show, they had a cast member from the show come up on stage (the chick who plays Wanda) and she and Brent answered questions from the audience about the show. It was a fun-filled evening and I would definitely go see him again if he ever comes back through and I highly recommend that if you love to laugh, you do the same. He mentioned that they were going to start filming the new season of "Corner Gas" in mid-May. He also said that the first season is coming out on DVD. Sweet!! I, for one, will be purchasing said DVD compilation and enjoy every minute of it....I love that show!

"The O.C." just said that the camera phone is the autograph of the 21st century.
Damn, I gotta get a camera phone....wait....I never meet anyone famous. What the hell am I thinking?

So the moment you've all been waiting for...the next loser to bite it on American Idol! It was Matt Rogers. Surprising, cuz I thought he'd be around for a little while longer. The people seemed to like him for some reason. Anyway, he wasn't that great compared to some of the other talent in the competition and I for one am glad he's gone. Now if they'd only get rid of Jon Peter Lewis...man, that dude isn't very good at all.

We went to see "Taking Lives" on Saturday night. It was a very good thriller and Angelina Jolie was fabulous (as usual). Quebec City stood in well for Montreal. Anyway, it was rated 14A and people had the nerve to bring small children to see it. There was a little girl there and she had to have been about 3 years old. She was jabbering away loudly during most of the movie. There was also a couple who brought their baby. It was in a baby carrier. I thought that if that baby cries, so help me God... But amazingly it didn't make a sound. Some moron left his mobile phone on and it rang twice during the show. If he would have been sitting anywhere within striking distance, he would have gotten a slap upside his melon head. Why are people such inconsiderate jerks? I just want to watch a movie in peace. Is that so much to ask??
