It was my birthday yesterday (boo) and we went to see "Troy". I had been looking forward to it ever since Friday (opening night on which I couldn't go). Orli was glorious! On a dreamy scale of 1 to 10, he was a 50! He also wasn't on-screen enough for my liking, but what can you do. The moments he was though...(sigh). Brad Pitt was also looking quite spectacular in his leather armor. Tasty! As for the movie as a whole, I really don't think that Warner Bros. is going to make their money back anytime soon. It was apparently the most expensive movie ever made with the budget topping out at $200 million. Warner Bros. needed it to be a major hit. I'm afraid that it won't get the repeat business it needs to make a profit. It was not very well written, and the directing wasn't great. I don't think taht Wolfgang Petersen was the right person to direct an epic of these proportions. He didn't seem to know what direction to take it at all. The score was rather disappointing as well. Although, the fight between Hector and Achilles was wonderfully choreographed. All in all, I would only go back to see it because of Orli's nearly naked scene (WOW!).
